How to avoid blocked drains without hiring a washroom service.

When it comes to being in charge of a business, a washroom is something you have to consider thoroughly. There are a lot of common problems that you would be saving yourself if you hired a washroom service. However, you might not have the budget to hire a washroom service, so here is how you can avoid them on your own.

Blocked drains are because of bad washroom management, businesses don’t always maintain good washroom facilities because they don’t adopt good washroom maintenance practices. There are some things you can do to stop it

Nappy Bins Super closely related to blocked drains. If you do not have Nappy bins, that means people will end up throwing them away in the toilet and flushing them. Since a nappy’s purpose is to retain water, you could imagine why this would be a problem. And if they get past the u-bend you are calling a plumber.

Waste Bins Especially waste bins for baby wipes. Baby wiped can be a real pain in your drain if people flush them. So, first, set reminders for people to not flush them, because most people think they won’t be a problem. Second, place your waste bins.

Sanitary Bins This is probably the most important one. If you have never had a toilet clogged by a feminine sanitary product, it is a nightmare. These products are essentially designed to absorb as many liquids as possible, in as little time as they can, and expand while doing it. They are completely unsuitable to pass through the drain. If you do not place sanitary bins, then women will have no other way to get rid of it and might flush it.

Also, make sure you remind your customers not to flush these things, a lot of people don’t know they are unable to go through the drain so really remember them.
